Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, who was recently released on bail by the Department of State Services (DSS) has been rearrested.

As seen on Naij.com and composed by Daily Trust, Dasuki’s rearrest took place shortly after being released from the Kuje Prison in Abuja.

Dasuki Rearrested After Being Granted Bail Yesterday

The former NSA, who is standing trial in three different courts in Abuja for alleged money laundering offences running into billions of Naira, was taken to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but regained his freedom temporarily after being granted bail last week along with former Sokoto state governor, Attahiru Bafarawa and his son, Sagir, as well as a former NNPC top official, Aminu Baba Kusa.

But, in a rather stunning twist of fate, Dasuki’s lawyer, Ahmed Raji (SAN) confirmed his re-arrest to Daily Trust last night.

This report was also corroborated by Chief Olufemi Fani-Kayode in a tweet on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
